AltFR the functions of extensions – a Swiss-army-penknife multitude of options for SAP Business One

Intended use

AltFR is a set of functions which extend the possibilities of SAP Business One combined into one solution. The functions allow to significantly increase the level of system adaptability to the needs of the user. It has options useful for both system administrators and regular users. AltFr can be imagined as a Swiss army penknife equipped with a multitude of very useful tools. Below we present the most important of them.

The function "Advanced print editor”

SAP Business One is equipped with a very convenient editor of printing templates. It allows to modify the appearance of our documents. AltFR adds to the standard template editor the possibility of editing more advanced templates. The templates are edited in the application Fast Report which is an advanced tool for reporting.

The main functions of the advanced print editor:

• An extended editor
• The access to the data from SAP Business One system as well from other ones (e.g. HR and payroll system) and the aggregation of the data in one report
• The possibility of inclusion of the inquiry about the parameters of the printout (e.g. the date range)
• Export of the printout to popular formats (Word, Excel, PDF, HTML) in the exact form of print preview
• Embedded print. For example the possibility of invoice preview in the sales report
• The possibility of creation of printouts for dot-matrix printers
• Printing of advanced, dynamically changing charts
• The possibility of data search in the print preview
• Together with the AltFRSerwer product the possibility of publication of prepared templates on a WWW site

The function “Queries at hand”

Very often we create the queries of users related with a given object in Business One. E.g. the report of warehouse movements in fixed book keeping values we would like to carry out directly from the window of index of goods. The function of “Queries at hand” allows to assign the user queries to any system window so that it will be available in the context menu (left mouse button).

Funkcja "Alarmy własne"

Sap Business One kontroluje wpisywane prze nas dane na wiele sposobów. Na przykład:

• zaszyte w systemie alarmy na fakturze (np. informujące o przekroczeniu kredytu kupieckiego)
• wysyłane na mail'a powiadomienia (np. o wsytąpieniu odchyleń od założonego zysku na dokumencie)
• walidacje własne zabraniające zaksięgowania dokumentu gdy nie spełnia pewnych warunków.

Funkcja "Alarmy własne" pozwala na założenie własnych alarmów bazujących na zapytaniach użytkownika które poinformują użytkownika przy dodawaniu lub przeglądaniu danych o powstaniu dowolnego zdarzenia. Na przykład chcemy aby przy dodawaniu nowego dokumentu system wyświetlał alarm gdy wybierzemy na fakturę klienta który ma otwarte zlecenia serwisowe.

The function “Forms for own objects”

SAP Business One has a sensational function User’s Objects. It allows to define own additional objects or documents. For example, we would like to register agreements with clients. In a standard way there is no such a document in the system so we define a User’s Object. SAP Business One offers a standard form to fill data in such objects.

Funkcja "Formularze dla obiektów własnych" idzie o krok dalej. Pozwala na zThe function “Forms for own objects” moves a step forward. It allows to define a form for such objects. Now filling data in such objects will be convenient and easy. Additionally, we can link this object with the main menu of the system.
